Conclusion
Conclusions drawn after researching Forms and Conventions and individually doing a similar text analysis:
After Researching the forms and Conventions of a thriller, we concluded that the main factors we should consider when doing our own thriller are:
-           We should have a Protagonist at the mercy of the antagonist.
-          An easy shock generated by a sudden unexpected action.
-          False ending, where all appears to be alright.
-          Speech in praise of the antagonist which is often done the protagonist and is used to build up the villain.
-          We should consider having a hero
-          Not showing everything to the audience making them build up their own interpretation of events.
-          We should consider having menace, violence, crime and murder
-          the menace is sometimes abstract or shadowy
-          We should have a combination of intense excitement, suspense, a high level of anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation, uncertainty, anxiety, and nerve-wracking tension
-          We should consider having a gloomy visual atmospheres
-          For representation, the characters should be unique individuals. Have a special hobby or maybe even be disabled in some way.

From all our similar text analyses we found certain aspects similar. For example they all had tension building music, and most of them keyed us into what the end result of the movie was in the first scene of the movie. In all our thrillers we also noticed that the characters in all our films equilibrium was disturbed and that is what set up the story for example in ‘the exorcism of Emily rose’ the main character was possessed and in the butterfly effect the main character was granted the power of time travel.
